2014 finished with two really nice events, a spate of interviews ending with a video shoot at the Vauxhall car plant at Ellesmere Port to celebrate the making of their 5 millionth car. The story is this: The young ‘me’ starts out as a tester and stunt driver in the 60’s/70’s and we follow my story until the present day. So, it takes a few liberties with my age… But the final shots show a more and more dynamic car being tested, until the latest model ‘skis’ (drives on its side on two wheels) and jumps through mid air. It then pulls up and out I get. All done to a throbbing sound track. I go back to my locker – the one I’ve had from day one – open it up, put in my toolbox, put on my very trendy jacket to make a three-piece suit in herringbone, and walk off down the factory, a contented and cool guy…
The video came out a couple of weeks later and has already had over 60,000 hits on YouTube…
I’d also like to say a big thanks to James Tye at this point. He took the photo here but has done a fabulous series for me over the last month or so, which I’m sure will have helped me get this gig. I’ll do a separate post on those pix… But, anyway, here’s the video:
